The Green River Gun Club range hosts a cowboy action shooting match every second Saturday of each month at 10am. We normally shoot 5 stages, finishing early in the afternoon. Bring your own lunch and drinks unless notified by e-mail earlier that week. The CAS range is in a shaded area with the targets regulation SASS sizes. Single Action Society (SASS) rules govern the matches.
CAS is a timed, scenario based competition where participants use firearms that are typically associated with the old west and the American cowboy. Competitors must use authentic single action revolvers, such as Colt Peacemakers, Schofields or replicas. Rifles must be lever action, or pump, manufactured by Colt, Marlin, Winchester, or replica. Shotguns are double barrel, with or without exposed hammers, lever action or pump of the type manufactured before 1899. All rifle and pistol bullets must be pistol caliber and
lead only.
